I am a graduate of Rice University in Houston, Texas where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with a minor in Neuroscience. I then earned my MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. I am now in residency and training to become a dermatologist . My tutoring experience includes being a neuroscience T.A. during undergrad, an anatomy tutor during medical school, and as a volunteer tutor for middle school-aged children through various organizations. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about math and science. I understand that each student requires different strategies to learn and am prepared to provide a unique and adaptable approach to each student. I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of IL College of Medicine (graduating in May 2021), and I previously received my Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Genetics and Genomics from Northwestern University. Two things I am passionate about are helping others and mentoring/teaching -- tutoring allows me to do both of these simultaneously! I am a current graduate student at Boston University getting my Masters of Science in Medical Sciences and will be applying to medical school this year. I also received a Bachelors in Biology from Boston College. I am passionate about inclusion for students with developmental delays and have done clinical research in this field. I have had experience teaching students as young as 5th grade to students in high school and college. Although I have degrees in the sciences and have recent exposure to human biology courses, I am also knowledgeable in other subjects such as English grammar and Reading Comprehension.

I am about to graduate this semester from the University of Illinois at Chicago majoring in Psychology on the pre-med track. I have also been accepted to and will be attending the University of Illinois College of Medicine next year. During my undergraduate experience, I was enrolled in the GPPA Medical Scholars Program and served as a mentor pre-med students. I tutored them in math and science courses as well as medical school level courses offered as a part of this program. I also served as an academic coach for high school and college students for 3 years through a peer tutoring program through my university and really enjoyed my experience working with a diverse group of students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Psychology, English, Math, and Science. I have also prepped high school students for Standardized Tests, specifically on the ACT English portion. I enjoy working students all of all ages to help build concentration and make their studies feel less intimidating. My teaching method varies with what works best for the student I am tutoring. I am a graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine where I received my M.D. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Philosophy at Marquette University in 2018. During my time at Marquette, I tutored General Biology and General Chemistry, and I was a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry lab. Not only did I enjoy teaching students my age, but I also pursued teaching opportunities for younger students in high school and middle school. I was a gross anatomy instructor for high school students taking tours through the cadaver labs and I was one of the founders of the Marquette Brain Brigade, where a group of undergraduate students came up with demos/lessons in neuroscience to teach middle school students. Moreover, I sought out private tutoring opportunities at a company called Huntington Learning Center both during undergrad and during medical school where I tutored a wide variety of subjects, including ACT/SAT, for virtually all age groups. I am very comfortable teaching various subjects and ages, and I am a laid back and flexible person. The subjects I am most comfortable teaching would be the sciences anywhere from the basic level to graduate school level. I am so grateful for the educators that allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, and I would love to pass it on and help younger students achieve their goals.
