I am a law student at Drexel University Kline School of Law and a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College with a BA in Cognitive Science with a minor in Music. I have also taken numerous classes in Biology and have broad understanding of that field. I have also studied both Spanish and Hebrew languages and can speak both at an intermediate level. I tutor students in a variety of disciplines including biology, mathematics, composition, and test prep for SAT, PSAT, and ACT. My teaching philosophy is that because no student is exactly like another, neither should be my approach to teaching them. I like to get to know every student academically as well as personally so that I can best understand how to help you achieve and exceed your goals. Outside of my studies, I am a diehard football fan, an avid theater-goer, and a prominent student leader on my campus.

I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature/Language and Political Science and with a minor in Legal Studies. After graduation, I spent the last two years serving with City Year Cleveland as a Student Success Coach. In this role, I supported a Partner Teacher, in a 4th and 5th grade Science and Social Studies classroom for my first year and a 4th and 5th grade ELA and Math classroom for my second, through in-classroom assistance as well as additional tutoring outside of the classroom. These tutoring sessions were mostly small groups, however, I did have the opportunity to work with individual students often. I also facilitated extra preparation sessions for Ohio State Testing (OST) for my 4th- and 5th-grade students. I love to learn and I love to make learning fun for students, especially in ways that feel meaningful and interesting to them. In my free time, I like playing video games, practicing my Spanish on Duolingo, re-reading books from my childhood, and spending time with my two cats, Rhubarb and Strawberry.

I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, where I studied Neuroscience and minored in Ukrainian Language and Culture. I am currently applying to medical school, which I hope to begin next fall. In my free time I love to explore the nature trails around Cincinnati as well as cook.While I can tutor a wide array of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology and English. As an undergraduate student, I was the Senior Editor of a student-run publication for three years, affording me extensive experience in editing others' work. After I graduated, I co-instructed an international summer science course offered by UofM for high school aged students. This was a lab based course that investigated topics in genetics and developmental biology. I had a lot of fun working hands-on with biological specimens, and it was a thrill to create a contagious learning environment.I believe that every student is unique and a tailored approach to his or her learning style is vital to their success. I strive to identify both the needs and the strengths of each student, and adapt an educational program accordingly.

My professional background is in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics. I hold a Masters of Digital Forensic Science from Champlain College as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Saint Vincent College. In-between those degrees I also have many certifications. I have experience teaching in a wide variety of subjects which also include children's subjects. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, hiking and working with my animals. I volunteer as much as I can as I believe in giving back to my community.

In an educational climate increasingly reliant on the power of the scantron, I believe that learning should exist beyond the small, graphite-dark bubbles that are as dull as the knowledge they are supposedly able to convey is exciting. I'm an electrical engineering major at Brown University with interests in neuroscience, linguistics, and robotics, among other things. I've always loved learning, and my curiosity has led me through numerous subject areas. I constantly seek to apply my classroom learning in practical situations. For example, I have conducted research on dementia using electrophysiology in a mollusk model. I participate in hackathons and robotics challenges that test not only my programming ability but also my hardware skills as a tinkerer. My engineering pursuits require a strong foundation in mathematics, my interest in the life sciences calls for a myriad of memorization techniques, and my participation in the academic world at large reminds me daily of the importance of sharp writing skills. I hope to share some of these things, both content and technique, with my students. Though I will make sure that they can come away from each session armed with the skills needed to take on the modern education system, I also hope that they will take with them some appreciation for learning itself.

I studied Philosophy and Theatre at the College of Wooster in Ohio and then studied Education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where I got my MS. I love tutoring all subjects but am particularly drawn to SAT prep because I know how much just a little extra help can boost a score. I had a great SAT prep tutor when I was in high school, and even though I only met with him twice, my score went up significantly! I love teaching and have over two years of classroom experience. I love to read and believe that through reading, one can improve every aspect of one's life, and I mean that genuinely. I hope to inspire students to continue to read and write as a means to become a great person. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy performing in improv comedy shows, acting, exploring the city, and playing board games.
