As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in Special Education from Eastern Washington University, I have over 25 years of experience in tutoring and classroom settings in both public and private education. I specialize in elementary school subjects, including but not limited to Math, Reading, Science, and Creative Writing. I have had dyslexia and Orton Gillingham Reading training. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. I believe in using tailored methods that meet individual learning needs, which fosters both academic growth and confidence. I am also committed to sharing my professional experience when specialized services might be something to explore for a child's success. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new educational resources and reading, which continually inspires my approach to teaching. I am dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love for learning.
