As a passionate educator with a Master of Arts in Reading and an emphasis in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, I have over 2 years of tutoring experience and more than 48 years of classroom teaching. My specialties include Reading Intervention, Elementary English, Math, Writing, and Special Education. I believe in meeting each student where they are and utilizing diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. My approach focuses on uncovering students' current levels of understanding and connecting their learning to real-life contexts, fostering both comprehension and enthusiasm for learning. I am dedicated to helping students succeed and find joy in their educational journey, as I believe that a strong foundation in reading and math is essential for academic success. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new literature and engaging in creative writing, which further fuels my passion for teaching.
