I'm a recent graduate of Princeton University, where I majored in Neuroscience. Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to mentor and tutor students across a wide range of subjectsfrom SAT reading and math as an Advising Fellow with Matriculate, to college advising, general chemistry, and even consulting case prep.

My tutoring style is concept-focused and highly adaptive. I don't believe in rote memorizationI prioritize building deep understanding through analogies, dialogue, and tailored explanations that match each student's learning style. I especially enjoy helping students connect abstract concepts to real-world ideas, particularly in subjects like biology and neuroscience, where those connections can spark genuine curiosity and insight.

My academic background is rooted in neuroscience, with a strong focus on the neural basis of behavior and cognition. My senior thesis combined behavioral experimentation with theoretical neuroscience, reinforcement learning models, and philosophical frameworks like W.E.B. Du Bois's concept of double consciousness. I designed and coded an experiment to investigate how racialized self-awareness affects introspection and reaction time in Black college studentspart of a broader effort to build a theory of consciousness that accounts for marginalized experiences.

Beyond the classroom, I've worked with the Center for Law, Brain, and Behavior at Harvard Medical School, where I translated complex neuroscience research into accessible insights for use in the legal system. That experience sharpened my ability to explain scientific concepts to non-expertsan approach I bring into every tutoring session.

I'm currently working with the Wharton Neuroscience Initiative on projects at the intersection of neuroscience and business, and I plan to pursue a PhD in neuroscience or behavioral science in the future. In the meantime, I'm excited to support students in mastering academic material, developing confidence, and cultivating a deeper love of learning.

Hobbies

Outside of academics, I’m passionate about travel, music, and storytelling. I’ve explored over a dozen countries across Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean—including South Africa, Italy, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Croatia—which have broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for global cultures. In my creative life, I DJ and work on archival videography projects that blend music, memory, and culture. I also enjoy reading—especially books on neuroscience, philosophy, race, and sociology. When I’m not reading or creating, you can usually find me outdoors in nature or exploring fashion as a form of self-expression. These interests keep me grounded, curious, and constantly learning—qualities I bring into every tutoring session.
