As an educator with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University-Texarkana, I have dedicated over 5 years to tutoring and teaching in various elementary settings across Louisiana and Texas. My passion lies in helping young students develop their reading, writing, and math skills, particularly through the Orton-Gillingham approach and systematic phonics, which I have extensively trained in. I strive to create a supportive learning environment by tailoring my teaching methods to each student's unique learning style, utilizing multisensory techniques to engage them fully. Witnessing my students' excitement when they grasp new concepts fuels my commitment to education. I am currently pursuing certification as an academic language practitioner to further support students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, ensuring they thrive academically. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and exploring new educational strategies to enhance my teaching practice.
