Helping students succeed in scienceespecially biologyis something I find incredibly fulfilling. I'm passionate about making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging, and I love seeing students gain confidence as they begin to understand the world around them through a scientific lens. Supporting students in their academic journey, particularly during the formative high school years, allows me to contribute to their growth both intellectually and personally.

My experience includes teaching high school-level science and working as a tutor during my college years. I've had the opportunity to guide students through challenging topics, prepare them for exams, and help them develop strong study habits. These experiences have deepened my commitment to education and strengthened my ability to connect with students at different learning levels.

I earned my degree in Biology from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where I also began tutoring fellow students in science courses. While I'm not currently pursuing additional degrees, I continue to focus on tutoring high school biology, where I can apply my academic background and teaching experience most effectively.

Biology is my favorite subject to tutor because it's the study of life itself. It encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. I enjoy helping students see how biology connects to their everyday lives and future aspirations, whether they're interested in healthcare, environmental science, or simply want to do well in class.

My teaching philosophy is centered on clarity, encouragement, and adaptability. I believe in meeting students where they are, identifying their strengths and challenges, and building a personalized approach that fosters understanding and confidence. My tutoring style is interactive and supportiveI use visuals, analogies, and real-world examples to make learning both effective and enjoyable.

Outside of academia, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and staying active through hiking and biking. I also love reading science articles and staying up to date with new discoveries, which helps me bring fresh insights into my tutoring sessions.

Hobbies

Outside of tutoring, I’m someone who thrives in nature and loves staying active. I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and scuba diving, anything that lets me explore the outdoors and connect with the natural world. Volunteering is also a big part of my life; I find it incredibly rewarding to give back to my community in meaningful ways. When I’m not outside, I love getting creative with hands-on hobbies like scrapbooking, arts and crafts, and sewing. These activities give me a chance to unwind, express myself, and bring a little beauty and joy into everyday life. Whether I’m exploring a trail or working on a new craft project, I’m always looking for ways to stay curious, creative, and connected.
