I am passionate about helping students, because they often realize they are more capable than they think and they are smarter than they give themselves credit for. I have been teaching individually for one and a half years and I taught at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in 2024. I received my BM in the harp from the Hartt School of Music and my MM in the harp from Carnegie Mellon University. I tutor both Music Theory, and drawing. My favorite subjects to tutor is Music Theory because it is a more challenging subject and once it clicks with the student, their reactions are priceless. My teaching/tutoring style is focused on helping and seeing the person rather than just the student. Everyone learns at a different pace and different style, and I believe that when you get to know the person, you can be more accurate and helpful with your teaching methods. In my spare time, I love to crochet, draw, play the harp, knit, take long walks, garden, practice American Sign Language, and play with my dog, Pennie.
