I chose tutoring as a part-time job primarily with the interest of helping students who are currently struggling with subjects they want to improve upon. As a recent high school graduate, I understand your position, and am delighted to engage with you to strengthen your understanding of the subject at hand, whether this be English, chemistry, biology, mathematics and much more!

I have experience working with children ages 5-12, teaching and leading inquiry-based learning in STEM subjects. This includes formulating hypotheses, testing them with experiments, and drawing conclusions. Not only this but teaching the basics of abstract concepts to fortify learning. I therefore focus on tutoring STEM-related subjects, with a keen interest in cell biology and biochemistry. This is the bachelor's degree I am working towards. I obtained my high school diploma from Governor Simcoe Secondary School, with a focus on STEM and visual arts.

Currently, I am entering my second year of university with a major in Biochemistry in the Health Science Faculty of McMaster University.

I look forward to hearing from you bright-minded students! Let us change the world together.

Hobbies

I have a passion for cell biology as well as physiology and biochemistry. I spent a large amount of my senior year assisting a university lab to conduct cancer research and got to present said research at a regional and national science fair. I am currently looking to expand my knowledge and therefore chose a major in biochemistry, which I am entering ym second year in at McMaster Univsersity. I spent my school career pursuing visual arts, with a strength in graphite drawing/sketching and painting. I have competed in a few art shows and won best in graphite, as well as best technical skills for different pieces. I even painted a mural for my school two years ago! I love to read, and recently have been interested in books written by Donna Tartt. Other hobbies I've picked up in university include graphic designer for McMaster's Meducator: The Health Sciences Journal. I am a volunteer at McMaster Children's Hospital, and I do arts and crafts with the kids. I am VP academics for the Biochemistry Society. I am working as a camp counsellor at McMasters Science Camp this summer. I am really excited to meet you! Please feel free to message if you ahve any questions :)
