I have a B.A. in biology from Smith College and an M.A. in Science Education from the University of Central Florida. I am also currently working on my doctoral degree in educational psychology.

I am passionate about biological sciences and I love to find ways to make complex concepts accessible and easy to understand. My teaching focuses on the application of concepts to solve problems and interpret data. I am especially skilled in tapping into students' prior knowledge to bridge what they already know about a topic with what they need to learn.

I have been teaching biological sciences for over 25 years, including such varied subjects as general biology, zoology, anatomy and physiology, marine science, and AP Biology.
