I am a passionate and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys helping students achieve their personal best in academic success through hard work and dedication. With my natural predisposition as a medical doctor and my love of teaching, I have been happily able to teach for a solid year now.
I have tutored children outside of school hours and was happy to work on socially different subjects. My strengths are English and biology (although I have taught and tutored in a wide range of subjects). I have seen children make huge improvements in critical reading and writing and have a whale of a time revising for their exams.
My philosophy of education is that learning is more than just a means to get good grades in school and graduate. It is a means to improve your quality of life. I plan on conveying that to every student I will have by being patient and flexible. My tutoring style reflects my ability to work with the student's learning style. I will be flexible and adapt myself to how the student learns so that the learning environment is better.
Outside of academia, I am a keen reader and writer, having written several short stories of thrillers and more than 50 poems. I also enjoy playing football and watching the sport (both professional and amateur), playing scrabble, listening to music, and dancing. Besides allowing me to be a well-rounded individual, these interests help me bring to my students a broad experience and perspective.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion for education, diverse tutoring experience, and personalized teaching style to an online platform, providing students with the guidance they need to excel in their academic pursuits. My class will be so much fun. Who says you can't play and work?
