I am a graduate of University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a Masters in Reading Education. Since graduating, I have worked in public education as a Reading Interventionist for Kindergarten to sixth grade. Currently, I teach students with dyslexia. As an interventionist, I assess students using Dibels 8th edition and Acadience Reading. I work with students in foundational reading skills through the continuum of reading comprehension. I perform diagnostic testing to assess and pinpoint struggles that students are having and begin interventions based on current level of need.

I am certified in English Language Arts / Social Studies in 4th through 8th grade. I also hold a Special Education Certification. I am working towards being certified as an Educational Diagnostiican. I have training in LETRS, Reading Academies, and Reading by Design.

I feel that every student can reach their fullest potential. I have the tools and experience to help a student reach their goals and be successful in school and life.
