I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher and private tutor. I have been teaching and tutoring for over five years in all primary subjects in whole-class, small group and one-to-one settings. I have a 100% success rate in SATs, 11+ and private school entrance exam preparation, with all of my students so far achieving or surpassing their targets and/or being accepted into their chosen private schools.

My approach to teaching is tailored to each individual student's needs. I like to have an initial conversation with the student and parents/guardians to assess their goals and aims, identify their weaker areas and get a feel for their learning style. I then plan a series of lessons with this in mind and try to link the learning to the student's areas of interest, such as any hobbies or extracurricular activities that they enjoy. I find that the more interested the student is in the lessons, the more engaged they are with the learning, and in turn the more progress they make.

I have worked with a wide variety of children, including those with additional educational needs, both in schools and one-to-one and have had only positive feedback from students and parents.

I am a Teach First Ambassador, having achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Teach First in their 2018 cohort. I simultaneously achieved a Distinction in my Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Sheffield Hallam University. Prior to this, I also achieved a Master's Degree (MA) in Historical Research and a Bachelor's (BA (hons)) Degree in History from the University of Hull.
