I have been teaching English as a second language for more than 20 years, and now I can teach Spanish (my native language) as well. Being a teacher of a foreign language has been extremely rewarding. I means helping my students to open doors while working, studying or traveling.
I did my CELTA course in 2016 in Frankfurt, to make the experience even more interesting. Learning a foreign language is so much more than just learning the words and structure, it's also very important to know how to communicate effienctly and that requires cultural knowledge. Having traveled, worked and befriended people from many different cultural backgrounds enables me to help my students reach their goals. Although my career was Communications Sciences and my major in Journalism, my passion is teaching. I believe leaing is a process a student must enjoy and 2 things are needed to learn more easily, 1. To like the subject 2. To have the right motivation. Most of the times I work on changing that along the way. I have been able to work with students up to 83 years old. It's never to late!
