My name's Cara, I live in England's smallest county, I can speak four languages, my favourite colour is blue and favourite food is Carrot Cake!

As your teacher, I would like to work with you and your family to ensure you succeed with your learning goals through fun and engaging activities. Learning is all around us and isn't confined to just four walls of a classroom, so I'm going to help guide you into taking control of your own learning journey.
I like to prepare well for your lesson so that you know what to expect and I can provide the best session possible for you, I like to know your goals, interests and preferred learning style, what you have been studying until now and if you have a specific topic to focus on before the lesson, this allows me to tailor a plan for you.

I have been tutoring ESL/ NTP/ GCSE English/ foreign languages professionally for four years, with a focus on children and young people. I believe in a holistic approach, meaning understanding and adapting teaching techniques to the student as a whole person. This ensures the student develops a strong passion for learning.

I have a level two certificate in mental health and wellbeing for children and young people, I fully understand that sometimes things can be challenge and like to be patient and respect this.

My son is 7 years old, he has been home educated with me for two years and I am great at being organised and adapting to tailor the student as challenges occur.
