I've been tutoring since I was in middle school, and love being able to connect with students over subject material they've previously found to be very tricky.

I have two BFA degrees in Media Marketing and Animation from the University of New Mexico, and I also have a deep love for math, ranging from basic addition to high-level calculus. I'm a professional animator for work outside of tutoring, and I love finding the overlap between the creative and analytical. Aside from my primary bachelors' degrees, I do also hold AFA and AS degrees in Math Education, Marketing and Graphic Design!

As an instructor, my main objective is to help my students maintain a good work-life balance while also building up their confidence in important skills and topics. It's impossible to learn if you don't know you're capable of accomplishing something. I also know a lot about work-life balance as a student, since I played competitive chess for 13 years (and ranked nationally!) as well as maintaining a full-time customer service job all through college while double-majoring and double-minoring. Being busy doesn't mean you can't make time for things you enjoy!

My teaching style is to cater the course to the students -- after all, without the students, I don't have anyone to teach, but I prefer to do very hands-on projects and exercises to make sure that students are comfortable with the concept of the material before we proceed forward. I am looking forward to being able to connect with students, and hopefully leave a lasting impact (while also giving out some useful info!)
