I'm enthusiastic and open to new challenges and am optimistic, positive and easy-going. I love to learn new things and gain new experiences but I equally enjoy sharing my knowledge with other people.
I spent most of my life in Russia where I received my education and gained qualifications and experience teaching English and Spanish. I studied at the Russian State Pedagogical University named after Alexander Herzen at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, one of the best linguistic faculties in the country.
After the graduation I completed a summer course for teachers in Spain and worked in Columbian and Peruvian companies, which helped me to improve my knowledge of the Spanish language. I also worked as an office manager and interpreter and acquired communicative and organisational skills in business environment.
I fluently speak English, Spanish and Russian. I have extensively travelled to Spain and I have also worked with Spanish and South American companies. In my position of a freelance interpreter for Prestige Network I performed verbal interpretation from and to English, Spanish and Russian.
I presently work with individuals and groups, face-to-face and via a variety of online platforms. In each case the method of interaction has to suit both the environment and the student/s.
I am convinced that the best way to learn a foreign language is via conversation. This can sometimes be challenging as students will perceive that there is a language barrier. To overcome this, I need to choose methods that work most effectively for the personality and goals of the students.
This varied and blended approach can consist of different types of presentations, exercises and lesson formats. Most importantly, students need to develop a level of trust in the teacher and that is why I always try to establish a safe, confidential and relaxing atmosphere in which students can easily engage in a conversation.
I am absolutely sure that in this modern world learning is not only essential for any persons future but can also make people happy. It helps them to become more capable and achieve more and a teacher is the person who makes it happen. A teacher possesses great power and works miracles, changes lives and makes history.
