I am a Vancouver-based economist who works in the financial and teaching industry. I am a multilingual and multi-tasking (English, French, Hindi, Creole) educator who lives to inspire and loves to encourage. I believe that everyone is capable of learning! I am notorious when to it comes to fun teaching and creating an inclusive classroom! I implement this holistic approach to maintain one of my core values- continuous development throughout life.

I graduated in 2019 and hold a bachelor's degree in Arts from the University of Manitoba. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to pass on what I learned to my students!

My approach to teaching is inspired by my amazing grandfather, who was a headmaster. In 2015, I first started teaching primary school students in my homeland. As a tutor, my focus for the student includes:

And, after all, my goal is to help students become active learners!

I thrive to make my classes engaging and fun, and I have been fortunate to teach both French and English to children who are not afraid of a challenge!

My teaching methods are:
1. Modeling (Teaching students how to do it)
2. Addressing mistakes (Spellchecking)
3. Providing feedback (written or verbal feedback)
4. Cooperative learning (working together-developing different skills)
5. Experiential learning (practicing lesson learned)
6. Student-Led Classroom (Presentation)
7. Class discussion (Each student gets his/her own turn)
8. Inquiry-guided instruction (Tackling questions together step by step)
9. Lesson Objective Transparency (Following lesson goals -clear and simple. This helps with reduction in student anxiety)
10. Graphic organizers (Diagrams, Flow charts, tables for students to better grasp the new concepts)

This gives different students the opportunity to get involved and to understand the lesson content.

I encourage my students to use their new knowledge to also help build their confidence emotionally, intellectually, and socially! I hope my way of teaching has a positive impact on every child's personal growth.

I am very approachable, love a good laugh and believe that life is a gift. I also believe every child is unique and deserves to grow academically and non-academically, and finally, that learning never stops!
