I have been a mentor and tutor in after school programs and in supporting local high school stem competitions since graduating college, for two decades. I enjoy helping students learn the subject matter and I am good at supporting the student in how they learn best. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Automation. I have studied Spanish and Mandarin for years and have travelled extensively throughout Mexico. I understand how frustrating it can be to not have support in learning. I am here to help students with their learning needs by boosting their confidence and being patient while they learn the topic. I am a believer in going over subject matter in different scenarios in order for the student to not get stuck in a rut. The memory works better if learning is applied this way because the brain will become engaged from the different ways the information is presented. I like to ask a lot of questions to ensure that the student is on track, and I will patiently work with the student until they understand the topic.
