I am a graduate of Memphis State University, now the University of Memphis. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Then, I received my Master of Art in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis, a Master of Teaching in Special Education, and Graduate Certificates in Community College Teaching and Leadership, Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership, IDT - Design and Development, and IDT- K-12 Educational Technology.
I will graduate with my Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology this July. I taught Special Education for 11 years, and now I teach Criminal Justice courses to college students. I also develop online courses. In addition, I tutor and have tutored a variety of students over the years. My educational philosophy is that all children can learn; however, some children learn differently, and others learn at a different pace, but my job is to help them learn.
When I'm not working, I like to read, travel with my son, who is autistic, and do arts and crafts.
