In August of 2017, I obtained a second Master's Degree in K-12 Education Studies from Capella University. This program has helped me focus on and apply current theory, research, and technology to the design of curriculum and instructional models. It also helped me learn how to use assessment, classroom management, and other techniques to strengthen instruction and perhaps reduce achievement gaps. I also hold an additional Master's Degree in Secondary Education from North Carolina A&T State University. Receiving this degree helped me sharpen my skills that I needed to become a more efficient and effective educator as well obtain certification in high school English and middle grades language arts through North Carolina's Department of Public Instruction. Lastly, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
