I am a passionate teacher, who loves working with students. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, because I enjoy helping others learn, and create a love for learning. I received my Bachelor's in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities, grades 1-6, in 2009, from St. John Fisher College. I received my Master's Degree in Literacy Education, birth-grade 6, in 2012, from the University of Brockport. Since graduating in 2009, I was a substitute teacher in all grades K-12 for 5 years. I had some teaching assistant positions at the elementary level. I also had a fourth-grade teacher position, teaching math and science for a whole school year, where I created my own lesson plans, graded students, and kept in constant contact with parents. For the last 3 years, I have been teaching English online to students who live in China. I completed a 120-hour TESOL certification for ESL teachers. I am very comfortable teaching in front of a camera, and I love to make learning fun and engaging for all students. Reading, writing, phonics, and math, are my favorite subjects to tutor, especially at the elementary level. I believe in making learning fun, and creating an environment where all students are welcome. I never stop smiling! When I am not teaching, I am taking care of my 2 young boys. I have been married for 12 years, and we love to travel the country, as well as outside the country. Our favorite place to go as a family is Walt Disney World, Florida. I also love to ride my bike, and exercise at least a few days a week. I believe health and education will create a beautiful world, one that our children will be proud of.
