I am a full-time student at St. Mary's University. I am a senior and working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary English Language Arts and Reading (Elementary Education). On Sundays, you will often find me teaching at my church with games, songs, and plenty of story times. Although I am certifying to teach every subject for my future classroom, I am particularly passionate and have a great love for the English language. There is nothing like words to capture a moment so perfectly and sweetly. Though elementary school starts off that train to standardized testing, I certainly love to focus on having that fun play a large role in teaching. I am a firm believer that a classroom without laughter is a classroom missing its soul. I believe education is a beautiful thing, but I do not believe tests and homework to be the future of a child. No matter the background of a child, they CAN learn. Learning does not stop with a diploma.

I absolutely love to read historical fiction and romantic comedy. "Rom-coms" are my favorite movies to watch alongside a nice tub of butter pecan ice cream. I have played the viola for nearly ten years now and find it to be one of the best stress-relievers! I love to listen to Christian music and will certainly sing it loud and proud with my Sunday students at church. Teaching is my biggest passion and something that I hope to carry with me everywhere in my life.
