Hi guys! My name is Mrs. Turner. I became an English teacher in 2007 when I graduated from the University of Southern Miss with a bachelor of arts in English with licensure. My first year, I taught 7-8th grade reading and English. After that year, I moved to Louisiana and taught high school English from 9-12 grade until 2018. We were highly successful in pushing the school to an A+ rating, even though the area was still recovering from the damages of Katrina. I taught technical writing, 10th grade English composition, 11th grade English, and creative writing 9-12. I also wrote curriculum for 10th grade English, so I'm most familiar with that grade. In 2018 I became an academic advisor for our local community college. I worked with a lot of the very same students who were my former students. I love helping my students and seeing them succeed.
