Every student learns a different way and it is the tutor's responsibility to figure that way out. This may include some trial and error. Each student has a unique learning style and it is the tutor's responsibility to figure this out and accommodate the student. Children must understand the basics and have a firm foundation before they can build on this and soar to the heights they have the ability to attain. One of the most gratifying experiences for a teacher is helping students achieve knowledge and truly understand and master a technique or concept. I hope you will allow me the privilege of helping you or your child reach their goal, whatever that might be.

Wow!! Where to start! I love animals and volunteer with a cat rescue, which takes in unwanted, abused and /or abandoned cats and kittens, makes sure they are spayed/neutered and vetted and adopts them out to loving forever homes. I love dogs and most other animals too! I love to read both fiction and non fiction. As a former children's librarian for almost 18 years, I love children's and YA literature, and am well versed in most genres. I minored in music and theatre and pre-pandemic enjoyed attending plays and musicals when I had the opportunity as well as keeping up with the latest shows on Broadway. I was also active in the church choir, as well as my city's community chorus. I enjoy and listen to a variety of genres of music. I also played piano and flute, although voice and performance were my primary areas of concentration. I am also very active in my local church. I sing in the choir, as well as attending Bible study and helping with Children's Ministry activities, such as youth groups and Vacation Bible School. Seeing various exhibits even virtually is another interest. Through the internet and books you can learn so much and widen your perspective without ever leaving your house!
