Hi! My name is Ms. Atalla (or Ms. Diana for our younger clients) and I have been involved with teaching grades across the spectrum through the last 5 years. I completed a rigorous training program in Elementary Education while working with Teach for America before shifting my focus and transitioning to the NYC Teaching Collaborative, a competitive residency which allowed me to teach and train under the direction of master teachers while pursuing a teaching degree. I was awarded a Master of Science degree in Adolescent Education, specializing in English, from St. John's University in 2018. I shifted to remote teaching in 2019 to continue giving educational access to students in underserved communities, which is one of my primary passions within teaching. I possess a reciprocal teaching certificate through the State of New Jersey and am also in the process of obtaining an additional certification from the National Virtual Teachers Association to enhance my virtual and remote teaching methods.
