I am a current Mathematics teacher on Long Island teaching 8th grade Common Core mathematics as well as Honors Algebra. I graduated my undergrad at the College of New Jersey and obtained my masters in Special Education at Molloy College in NY. I have been fortunate to be teaching grades 7-12 for the past 10 years. As a teacher I am very passionate in my career. I cater to the needs of my students when I am teaching. Everyone is a different learner and has different learning styles, and I pride myself in being able to teach to all levels and engage students in the learning process. I want students to have fun with learning mathematics so I hope with my knowledge and my bubbly personality I can get some laughs as well as help my students increase their skills.
Education & Certification
Undergraduate Degree: The College of New Jersey - Bachelor in Arts, Mathematics Teacher Education
Graduate Degree: Molloy College - Master of Arts, Special Education
When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching TV, going to see Broadway shows, as well as performing in community theater. I enjoy reading and sitting outside on my porch listening to the ocean waves. Living on the beach enables me to relax and take nice walks and ride my bike for exercise. I am always into trying new things to see if I enjoy them. I also love to travel. I worked for a former company where I was a teen tour chaperone and went all over the world with teenagers to engage in the many cultures and sight seeing experiences the company has to offer.
