I've been teaching math for ten years. All the years has been at the middle school level. I really enjoy assisting students grow in this subject. I received my bachelors degree from West Virginia University and masters degree from Kean University. My favorite subject growing up was math. I really enjoy how math makes me think critically to solve problems. I love persevering through challenging math problems.

Outside of math, I'm a big fan of sports. I played football and baseball as a youth and played football in college. I now an assistant high school coach. I've tutored students from upper elementary to high school level in my local area for the past 4 years. My teaching philosophy is I teach students how to solve problems so they will be successful for a lifetime. I never just give students the answer. I always want them to make sense and use math practices to solve problems. This helps my students build their confidence so they can work independently.
