I graduated from Florida State University in May 2019 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. I first fell in love with chemistry in high school, where took IB Chemistry HL, and decided to pursue chemical engineering in college, which is the marriage of chemistry and mathematics in real life scenarios.
Many people find these topics daunting and too complicated at first sight to take the time to genuinely understand them. My goal is for students to know that they can succeed in STEM classes, even if it's not your passion or life goal, can succeed in these subjects with confidence. The key is to understand the "why" behind the principle, and then you can solve the problem at hand with critical thinking.
