I am a current student at St. Olaf College studying math and physics. I am also the teacher's assistant for the Principles of Physics I at St. Olaf College.
I am interested in tutoring high school and middle school level math to college level calculus and the ACT and SAT. Math is important for all people to have a strong foundation whether or not they are planning on pursuing higher level math after school. Math teaches people logic, problem solving, and perseverance. My philosophy of learning is that one truly has an understanding of something when they are able to derive ideas from first principles rather than memorize facts or formulas. In addition, learning how to learn only happens when one overcome something they struggle with and develops good habits from the experience.
Being a physics and math student, I am very comfortable with math up to calculus. I also have plenty of experience taking both ACT and SAT.
