The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to give the information a student needs to know to do well on an exam or a test. Tutoring also involves clarifying the material so the student understands it better and handles questions and problems on tests better. Another important way to look at tutoring is the tutor needs to cover important aspects of the lesson again, but in a more comprehensive way, and in a way that makes the lesson more clear in the mind of the student. In this sense tutoring can be a review that clarifies the lesson material. I try as a tutor to do as much as I can for each student. Tutoring is a very important and integral part of a students education.
