Although I retired from a school system on the East Coast, I substitute teach here in Nevada. Every day I'm in a classroom, I see students who need extra help with their schoolwork. Maybe they missed an important step along the way. Maybe the teacher's style doesn't match that of the student's. Usually, the teacher just doesn't have the time it takes to spend with each student. There are a lot of reasons that grades just aren't what they should be, but almost always, one-on-one teaching is the answer. As a tutor, I love to be able to help a student with that individual attention so hard to give in a regular classroom.
Acquiring knowledge and strengthening one's abilities should never be a struggle, and I use a lot of unique techniques to make sure my students have fun and gain the confidence they need to meet and even exceed their expectations.
