As a Registered Nurse with over forty years' experience in clinical settings, I have a wealth of experience working with nursing students and new graduates. I have spent many years as a Nursing Instructor, providing lecture sessions, lab simulations and clinical instruction. I work with new graduates in preparation for their NCLEX Exam for licensure, and assist potential nursing students prepare for HESI or TEAS entrance exams. I am especially adept at working with students who suffer from test anxiety, as I can incorporate relaxation techniques and teach strategies for preparing and taking computerized timed tests to maximize the student's ability to succeed in their desired goal.
I particularly enjoy preparing students for their NCLEX examinations and TEAS or HESI entrance exams using practice tests and reviewing the results of the practice exams to show them ways to improve their test results. The best part is seeing the students grasp a new concept or achieve a goal they set; they just light up!
In my free time I enjoy traveling to historic sites, art museums, and out of the way beaches! I have been pursuing an Art History Degree with the goal of a graduate degree in Museum Studies. My dream is to return to Paris to continue touring art museums and historic sites for Art and History.
