I'm finishing up a bachelor's degree in computer science and will be soon working as a software developer in the healthcare industry. From a very young age, I had been fascinated by these machines and I currently do research into the security of modern password systems and networking security.
I have a lot of teaching experience in the field between helping high school students with their assignments to tutoring freshmen at my college. I'm a tutor for many areas within computer science and elementary mathematics, but my favorites are AP Computer Science and Operating Systems. When tutoring these subjects, I love to help students to learn not only how, but why the things they're learning are important and how amazing their applications are.
Outside of academia, I'm an adept bowler, pianist, and love creating software to make lives easier. I can go on for a half hour about the mathematics behind how the sport of bowling works, or how each piece of a piano vibrates or moves to create beautiful sounds.
I'm also very respectful of your time. Tutoring isn't solely about doing your work; it's about learning how to solve each problem so that you can do it again. I'm always looking for new ways to connect with students and have them be intrigued by the world of computer science instead of blindly memorizing.
