The name's Taylor, and I'm a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and music producer looking to dish out important skills, techniques, and general knowledge about how music can be created. I studied music and audio production at Columbia College Chicago and will be getting my Bachelors in May of 2018. My tastes in music range from New Wave to Metal to Electronica to Avant-Garde and everything in between. I'm from Great Falls, Montana, and I moved out to Chicago for some new opportunities and to make connections with my fellow creationists. A lot of my inspiration for music comes from video game soundtracks, specifically, but not limited to Koji Kondo's compositions for the Legend of Zelda game franchise. I also play in a Math Rock band called Origami Button, and I like to write music for film as well.

The guitar is my primary instrument, and I've been playing for 8 years. I believe being able to record music and bring your ideas into existence is a crucially important part of establishing yourself as a musician and songwriter, and every bit as important as learning how to shred guitar licks up and down the neck. I would love to show you how and demonstrate techniques in the world of music recording and production. I believe I've got a lot to offer in order for you to understand music in a new light. I can teach you the important must know aspects of music theory, but I think ones songwriting skills should not be confined to the laws of musical craftsmanship, and should be expanded upon the idea that "If it sounds good, it is good". I also have a solid knowledge and understanding of modern music history beginning at the 1950's when the music recording industry started to really take off, and will certainly implement this knowledge into the learning process for you as well.
