I am a graduate of the University of Evansville where I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and my teaching license through the Transition to Teaching program. During that time I tutored high schools students who were taking classes at the local community college. I completed two teaching internships teaching World History at a middle school and high school. During my student teaching I taught U.S. History, Honors U.S. History and U.S. Government. After student teaching, I was asked to stay as a long term substitute teaching English. After the conclusion of the school year as a long term substitute, I accepted a position teaching high school Sociology and Psychology. While I love teaching and working with the students, I made the decision to move to the University of Evansville where I worked in the Admission Office and am currently working in the Registrar Office. I am passionate about helping students because I love to see the light bulb turning on moment when they understand a subject that they are struggling with. I love seeing students excitement and I want to help them be the best they can be so they can move on to the next step of their education and career. Through my myriad teaching experiences, I discovered that I am most passionate about History, Math and Literature. When I am not assisting students in furthering their education, I am busy playing with my two puppies, reading and making memories with my friends.
