I am a professional musician, native speaker of English, fluent in German and Spanish, and an all around fan of learning. Raised by a career K-3 teacher (hi mom), in college I finally began to take on teaching and mentoring roles myself. In 2017 I graduated from Beloit College with a B.A. in Music, and minors in English and German. In 2014 I spent time visiting family in Germany, the source of invaluable insights on the language and culture.
After 16 years of school with some truly wonderful teachers, I am still passionate about all I have learned. I hold firmly to an idea I first encountered as a high school freshman reading Jon Krakauer's "Into The Wild," scribbled by Chris McCandless into another book: "Happiness only real when shared".
I find a lot happiness in music and words, and never more so than when I can share it. I am comfortable working with students of diverse ages, and invested in students' needs. A one-on-one session provides space to learn your own way, on your own time. I look forward to sitting down with you and getting started!
