Currently, I am a Research Fellow at the National Institute on Aging, National Institutes of Health. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Biology. I have been tutoring students since I was in High School, with a focus on STEM (math and science) subjects. I spent a lot of time with students at my high school and college tutoring centers. My favorite subjects are Algebra, Geometry, Biology and Biochemistry. I have helped students with homework and prepping for classroom exams. I strongly adhere to Socratic method, that is, I lead with questions and take each academic challenge one step at a time. I think students learn and remember better when they arrive at conclusions on their own. I love tutoring because I get to help people attain their goal in a subject that I love but they are struggling with. My greatest achievement as a tutor has been helping a student who struggling with a dyslexia, a frustrating learning disability, pass pre-calculus. I provided her guidance and it gave her self-confidence to take Calculus the next semester, a class she didnt think she would ever take. Outside of academia, I enjoy cooking, biking and taking yoga to add zen moments in my life.
