I am a graduate of The University of California Merced. I received my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in Economics. After graduating, I began a teaching credential program for Single Subject Credentials. My goal is to teach high school math. As a high school student I struggled through my math classes and if it were not for my teachers I would not have grasp the concepts and found math fun. Using my personal experience with struggling through my math classes and my teachers helping me understand the concepts, I have helped a wide range of students in math, science, economics, and college prep. I have been serving as a tutor for four years and have primarily worked with high school students. I have worked on college applications with students. I am most passionate about Math, Science, and Economics but can tutor other subject as well. My tutoring style branches from how my teachers worked with me; meeting the student where they are at. I teach the concepts in a way that the student could understand and possibly teach their peers. My goal as a tutor is to help the student feel less frustrated and more empowered to understand math. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, running, solving math puzzles, and learning about the world.
