About Me

Hi, my name is Sam. I'm a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and I'm proficient in English as well. I graduated from Hofstra University in New York with a Master's degree of Language Other Than English (LOTE) & TESOL, and started to teach Mandarin Chinese in Manhattan. I've also had several working experiences in public schools in Long Island regarding teaching Mandarin. I've seen a lot of students being interested and passionate about Chinese language and culture which motivated me pursuing Chinese language education after graduation. Apart from my academic and professional life, I personally like to watch movies and read books in my spare time. I'm recently interested in dystopian fictions and I'm a big fan of Friends, the 1994 show.
