I have been teaching biology for over 4 years now. I started teaching biology as an undergraduate at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2013. I taught as a supplemental instruction leader (SI leader). As the SI leader, I attended all freshmen level biology lectures, held at least 4 outside of class SI sessions where students could come for help with anything in the course, held office hours, helped plan and design the biology courses, wrote and graded exams, and created and presented lecture material. I'm now pursuing a graduate degree in the science field and hope to one day become a freshmen biology professor!
