I am a current student at Missouri State University working towards a degree in Education. I have experience working with and tutoring elementary aged students and some knowledge about test-taking skills for students of all ages. I love working with students through difficult topics to help them understand new things and grow to have a love of learning. When working with students, I like to find out what interests them, and I try to incorporate that into the learning process. My favorite subject to tutor is reading and comprehension strategies. I am an avid reader, so I want to pass on that love of stories on to others. Even if the student never comes to love reading, I still want them to grow more confident in their own skills. Outside of the academic world, I like reading fantasy stories (both children's and adult), swimming when weather permits and playing with my dog.
