I would change the teaching method or re-teach old concepts.

I like to take it one sentence at a time and look up words in the dictionary.

I would link the topic to their personal interests.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
By creating fun games!

I like to use exit tickets.

Start easy and work up to harder concepts!

By giving a diagnostic assessment at the beginning of our sessions!

I would ask them how they like to learn.
