I love everything about language and writing. If you are struggling with an English class, getting the score you want on the ACT, writing a paper, or understanding grammar rules in English or French I am the tutor for you! I received my undergraduate degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in French. I have taken many rigorous courses in creative writing, essay writing using MLA and APA styles, and journalistic writing using the AP Stylebook. My special interests in French are poetry, literature, and phonetics.
I appreciate the power of studying. I worked hard to understand these subjects, and I can help you or your child understand them too. I have helped many a classmate edit his essay, or grasp a tricky rule in French, and eventually earn a good grade in the class he was failing. Everyone has specific learning needs, so I provide a personalized approach to tutoring that focuses on building study skills and laying a firm foundation from which the student will be able to grow.
My first passion was English. It is my favorite subject to tutor, and on my days off you can find me writing about the last movie I watched. I also love reading novels; baking; playing with my two cats, Miss Fisher and Tyrion; playing board games; and snowboarding.
