What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that it is important to help break down the topic into digestible pieces. In addition, I feel that graphics can be extremely useful in demonstrating a variety of topics. I think explanations should be backed up by doing all the right practice problems and helping students understand these practice problems.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I would tell them that clarity is often gained by understanding problem areas. Then, I would attempt to help them understand these problem areas.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I would try to really help students using visual representation. In addition, I would keep asking questions to make sure the students really understand the topics. At the end of the session, I would do a couple of practice problems and then assign practice problems to the students.
