I am a graduate of the University at Albany, SUNY. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I was a student of SUNY Albany’s Collegiate Science Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) which provides academic support and research opportunities for underrepresented students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. As part of CSTEP, I tutored General Biology I/II to Biology and Human Biology majors as well as mentored and advised students with their science curriculum and class schedules. I am passionate about medicine and will be applying to Physician Assistant School in the near future. I am also passionate about educational equity and am currently volunteering with GO Project providing academic and emotional support to elementary school students at risk of failing. I believe in each and every one of the students I tutor and strive to help them unleash their academic potential and gain confidence in their ability to comprehend a material. Becoming enthusiastically involved in the learning process is key to academic success, and I promise to make learning Biology fun! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, creative writing, traveling, and cooking.
