I am a graduate of The Catholic University of America. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural/Geotechnical engineering. I tutored some high level mathematics and engineering courses while in college, which fueled my passion for teaching. Since graduation, I bounced around a few engineering jobs before finding my calling in teaching. I currently work as a math teacher for a small Catholic school in Rockville, MD. In my experience, Math is a subject that intimidates students and causes them to struggle. I love to try and break down that fear of math and help a student reach their true potential. I try to make math as fun and enjoyable as possible, through an upbeat and enthusiastic approach. I try to incorporate a lot of hands on learning and games to keep students engaged with the material. I firmly believe being able to see the light turn on in a student's eye when they finally grasp a concept is one of the most rewarding experiences. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I love to be involved with sports, football especially. I played football in college and now coach high school football in my free time.
