I graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2008 as a Mercyhurst Honors Scholar and attained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Forensic Science with concentrations in Forensic Biology and Criminalistics and a minor in Biology. It was during this time frame that I served as the student director of the tutoring department - tutoring students and assigning tutors to meet the needs of their college peers who needed additional assistance. Simultaneously, I tutored at various community based educational institutions throughout the city, helping students to complete assigned homework and prepare for assessments. In 2013, I completed my Master's Degree in Leadership Public Administration and am currently a licensed science teacher in the State of New Jersey. I find pleasure in extending my skills to help students realize their educational goals and have done so successfully in many educational arenas. Even though I tutor biology, life sciences and microbiology are usually my favorite. I believe that all students regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and race have the capability to maximize their educational potential. I usually set high expectations for all my students, and elevating them to the next level requires me to meet them at their level of need and propel forward. I believe in employing quick verbal formative assessments to help gauge the level of readiness of my students and subsequently develop the most appropriate strategy to meet their needs. During my spare time, I love to spend time with family, reading and dancing.
