I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from York College, in Jamaica Queens, New York. Currently, I am working on a Masters in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School. I have been a mentor for the past 15 years, and have tutored several students in Accounting, Finance, Economics and even Biology, I was a science major in undergraduate school for a while. My favorite subject is Accounting because it affects every aspect of life. I also love Biology, the study of life on this planet, I think it's a fascinating subject and am always intrigued by how interdependent all of life is on this planet.
My style of tutoring is to explain the basic components of a concept and check if the student understands them at each step. Then when a more complex problem is given I help them identify the components they already understand and apply it to the problem at large. I love seeing the light bulb go off when a student understands a concept they have been struggling with. It's one of the most fulfilling things in life for me.
