I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Dallas in 2012 and my Master of Arts in British, American, and Anglophone Literature from Marquette University in 2019. I have worked in grades k-12 in all subject areas (primarily using a classical curriculum); I have taught rhetoric and composition courses at the freshman and sophomore collegiate level; and I have also co-taught junior and senior collegiate English literature courses centered on a singular topic. I love discussing literature in depth with my students and I particularly enjoy helping them along with the writing process- crafting a thesis, exploring sources, and proofreading! Proofreading and dialoging with students about their papers is, for me, the most joyful and fruitful part of the writing process. Far from being the mundane task of searching for typos of which it is usually thought, this is the part of the writing process where the core of the paper is crafted and the writer able to refine his or her own voice.I am happy to help as a second pair of eyes for a single assignment in the short term or for an extended period of time for a larger assignment. I am happy to help students wade through their reading assignments whether it be a primary literature source or secondary critical or theoretical sources. I can also help with note taking strategies, brainstorming, and paper organization. Learning has been a constant part of my life. Ever since I was a little kid, I have enjoyed finding out new things about the world through books, videos, conversations, and experiences. As I have gotten older, my love of learning has grown to include a love of teaching..As a teacher, I have experience working with students from kindergarten to undergraduate, in subjects as diverse as STEM, the humanities, outdoor skills, climbing, and barista craft. While teaching, I try to meet my students where they are at, then get them to where they need to be by empathetically adapting to their learning styles while maintaining high expectations,

Education is the building block for a better future. I come from a family of educators, including my parents and grandparents, who instilled in me the importance of education. I want to become a STEM teacher because I want to educate, guide, and inspire students to become the next generation of scientists who can change the world. I believe that my job as a tutor is to encourage students to become lifelong learners by providing a learning environment that simulates critical thinking without fear of asking questions. I am a senior in the College of Education at Marquette University. I will be graduating in May, and plan to become an elementary school teacher. I love to teach, and am very focused on the idea of a differentiated classroom that works for all students and types of intelligences. The average American consumes an estimated 100,000 words each day in conversation, news articles, blog entries, social media posts, and more. I have devoted my academic and professional career to discovering how to use these units of communication to create the biggest impact, whether it be in my copywriting, teaching, or audio and video production.I recently completed my Master of Arts in Communication from Marquette University, where I taught over 300 students in undergraduate courses that cover the basics of applied research and visual communication. I guided my students on how to create informational or fundraising brochures for twenty-four local nonprofits. I also earned Marquette's unique Certificate in Digital Storytelling, a program that has allowed me to further explore how audio and video resources can be used to craft engaging stories for fundraising, education, or entertainment.Prior to this, I was the Communications Director for a new nonprofit, where I was able to increase online and in-person engagement through an established mailing list and social media accounts. I produced viral videos that received national media attention and responses from Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake (among other legislators). I analyzed the demographics of our most engaged members and targeted an ad campaign to a specific subset of women, increasing our Facebook followers by over 100% over the span of two months.I also served as the Public Information Assistant for the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. In addition to my general duties managing the office and organizing events, I also wrote accessible press releases, doubled their Twitter followers, created step-by-step guides on how to use various web applications, and delivered concise news alerts to the entire county courthouse staff. I instructed other team members how to use the Hootsuite social media management system to schedule effective Facebook and Twitter posts that can be analyzed in terms of viewership and engagement.I crafted other digital campaigns during my work with Vertical Measures. I ghostwrote blog posts for a variety of clients using evolving SEO techniques and maintained a number of other lucrative blogs devoted to politics and popular culture. My experiences collaborating with diverse communities in Bulgaria and South Korea would invariably also be an asset to any organization committed to expanding its reach among various nationalities and ethnicities.

I am a current graduate student at Marquette University studying to earn a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. I previously graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a B.A. in Psychology (with Distinction) and Sociology. While attending SMU, I worked as a tutor for high school and college students in the Dallas area. Prior to college, I also had the opportunity to tutor students in elementary, middle, and high school, while I attended high-school in California. The primary subjects I tutor include mathematics, psychology, and sociology, as well as help with study skills and test preparation. I also tutor students for the SAT math, GRE Quantitative, GRE Analytical Writing sections.I really enjoy all of these subjects equally so my ultimate goal is to create an individualized and enjoyable learning environment that fits each student's style in order to promote the most success. I am a current student at Marquette University. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and will be earning a bachelors as well as a masters degree in 5 years total. My focus on mechanical engineering and systems is due to my love of putting things together and drawing conclusions from physical representations. This was instilled at a young age as I had a deep love of Legos.My favorite subject to tutor is algebra. Algebra features so many of the basic mathematical tools which become instinct in higher level math like calculus, my favorite subject to study.I have a varied repertoire of subjects which I tutor as I do consider myself a renaissance man. I am a graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine where I received my M.D. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Philosophy at Marquette University in 2018. During my time at Marquette, I tutored General Biology and General Chemistry, and I was a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry lab. Not only did I enjoy teaching students my age, but I also pursued teaching opportunities for younger students in high school and middle school. I was a gross anatomy instructor for high school students taking tours through the cadaver labs and I was one of the founders of the Marquette Brain Brigade, where a group of undergraduate students came up with demos/lessons in neuroscience to teach middle school students. Moreover, I sought out private tutoring opportunities at a company called Huntington Learning Center both during undergrad and during medical school where I tutored a wide variety of subjects, including ACT/SAT, for virtually all age groups. I am very comfortable teaching various subjects and ages, and I am a laid back and flexible person. The subjects I am most comfortable teaching would be the sciences anywhere from the basic level to graduate school level. I am so grateful for the educators that allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, and I would love to pass it on and help younger students achieve their goals.I am now a Resident Physician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I am completing my 4-year residency in anesthesiology.

Taught writing at two universities, one college, one community college, and have tutored grade school and high school students, college students, and adults. I am an undergraduate at Marquette University. I am in the College of Engineering studying Computer Engineering and I hope to minor in Computer Software. I am from Rancho Palos Verdes, California (a suburb south of Los Angeles) where I would tutor high school and middle school students both privately and through the National Honors Society. All of my past experience tutoring experience is with Math, and I have tutored from Pre-Algebra through Calculus 2. Through high school I also had the opportunity to work with 4th and 5th grade students. I volunteered through PressFriends, a program run by highschool students to start writing programs in lower-income elementary schools, where I recorded over 400 hours in 4 years. I am an avid believer of having a strong math based foundation, and quick mental math skills, and will often spend the first 15 minutes of the first session accessing what my client already knows before advancing to the content he or she would like help with. In my free time at Marquette you can find me playing for our club volleyball team, playing Fifa, or exploring downtown; however when back in California I find myself either hiking, at the beach, or hanging out with friends.
